  5. ±11I  have  now spent 2 years of my life
  6. with   my   belowed   Amiga.    As  a
  7. non-influent  user at the scene, I've
  8. observed   the   evoulution   in  the
  9. history   of   the   Amiga.   I  have
  10. especially  been  interested in music
  11. which is made on the Amiga.  This has
  12. given   me   a   strong  passion  for
  13. collecting   modules.    But  in  the
  14. process   of   acquiering  about  500
  15. different modules I was forced to RIP
  16. the modules since I have VERY limited
  17. access to Internet and other BBS's.
  18.  
  19. Now I shall present my main consern:

  21. It takes a lot of time to rip all the
  22. tunes  from  the  various  new  demos
  23. which I get.  Why must I live through
  24. the  seemingly  endless  scanning  of
  25. MultiRipper  or  the hopeless work of
  26. the ActionReplay hunter.
  27.  
  28. Amiga  is a multitasking machine with
  29. the  most  desirable OS in the world.
  30. There   are   people   who   runs   a
  31. moduleplayer  in WB while doing other
  32. things.   Such people enjoy listening
  33. to    "musical    music"   (i.e   NOT
  34. 2Unlimited   (no   offence,   please,
  35. techno-freaks)    because    of   the
  36. orginality  and quality of the tunes.
  37. So   why   isn't  it  easier  to  get
  38. (±12read:RIP±11)   the   astonishing  music
  39. which  is featured in the best demos?
  40. Is  the  coders  so  protective about
  41. their  new-released  stuff  that they
  42. make the modules unrippable?  Anyway,
  43. I   am  not  a  coder  and  will  not
  44. approach  the  subject  from a coders
  45. point of view.
  46.  
  47. I  don't  know  of anyone who loads a
  48. track-disk  musicdisk  and listens to
  49. it  more  than  5 minutes.  If people
  50. could  put  the  songs on a DOS-disk,
  51. life  would have been more giving for
  52. music  lovers.  The music will end up
  53. on  Internet within a couple of weeks
  54. anyway.

  56. I  hope  that  modules  won't  be  so
  57. rediciously  protected  by  composers
  58. and  coders,  because excellent music
  59. (it's art!) should be shared and work
  60. as  a inspirational kick for aspiring
  61. mucisians.   Only  the±13 best±11 composers
  62. use  their  own  samples  (from their
  63. synths)  and  shall  not  bother with
  64. others  who  rip their samples.  This
  65. is  because  only  original  music is
  66. praised    by   people.    The   true
  67. composers  will  always  behold their
  68. pride!
